Some may not respect phenomenology; however it is among us every day. Like Afsaneh said, we know love real but how can you measure that. Maybe we can measure love, but lack of human knowledge prevents us to do so. Maybe love is “divine”, which is according to Etymonline to conjure, to guess, to make out by supernatural insight. Only a few things on this earth fall under the “phenom” category therefore create a blur for the subject unlike technical social studies or sciences.
The only reason I am open to phenomenology is because of natural skill people are born with. Some people are born with a supernatural ability to play sports, others may have supernatural abilities in art, reading, and many others categories. How do you measure someone’s ability to play a sport better than someone else? The first thing you may think of is practice. We all know that practice makes perfect. But, what if one guy practices every day, and another guy doesn’t practice at all, and the guy who practices everyday still cannot play better basketball than the guy who never practices.
An advantage of this approach to things is that we can accept things as they are and enjoy them. A disadvantage of this is we do not understand what is going on before us. WE WOULDN’T MAKE ANY PROGRESS AND TECHNILOGICAL AND MEDICAL BREAKTHROUGHS AND INVENTIONS. There are explanations for 95 to 98 percent of things. That 2-5 percent is phenomenology. Integrating and respecting these methods are vital.
The path does not want to take the easy straight path from A to B. At one point it can mean one thing, and at another it can mean something completely different (like emotions).
CURVY
WINDING PATH
YIN YANG
Equality for man and woman. One space equal to other space interlocking together.
The letter S seems like a continuous curve. Like a snake, rope, or cord. It is like a wave. A path in the forest. It creates two spaces like ying yang. The beginning of a swirl. Beginning of mixing something. It makes me feel relaxed the two forms it creates can represent two ears when you think of the word sound or sonic, that begins with this letter. Slithers like a snake both beginning with S.
The letter T is like an intersection of three ways. It reminds of a structural element such as a column and beam. It seems uneasy as if it will fall. It creates two rooms that share a wall and have a ceiling. The word for the number two starts with a , and there are two lines to create this letter.
The letter U reminds me of a horse shoe at first glance. It creates a bowl. If inside the bowl you may find it hard to escape it because you may slide down the curved sides. It is unstable yet doesn’t make e uneasy because it would safely roll over rather than fall dangerously like the letter T. U only creates one room with no ceiling, you could look up and out. Creates a pool or well. Some sort of storage tank. The letter Up starts with U can symbolize being inside and looking up and out to the heavens. Also Under which can be you are under the place you look at when you look up.
